Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Science
Faculty of Science and Technology, Universidade Nova de Lisboa
The Faculty of Science and Technology (FCT NOVA) is one of the academic units of Universidade Nova de Lisboa, dedicated to teaching and research in the fields of exact sciences, biological sciences, technology, and engineering.
FCT NOVA was established in 1977 following the reorganization of several departments and courses within the university. In 1980, it moved to the Monte de Caparica University Campus in the municipality of Almada. Today, the campus spans 15 hectares of built infrastructure, with an additional 17 hectares reserved for future expansion. It is one of the largest university campuses in Europe, hosting modern academic, laboratory, administrative, and social facilities, as well as extensive green areas.
The faculty adheres to the Bologna Process, offering Integrated Master’s programs (5+0) and 2nd‑cycle Master’s programs (3+2). More than 45 degree programs are available across bachelor’s (1st cycle), master’s (2nd cycle), and integrated master’s levels. FCT NOVA also offers 38 doctoral programs (3rd cycle), closely linked to its 16 research centers. All programs are accredited by A3ES (the Higher Education Assessment and Accreditation Agency), and all engineering degrees are recognized by the Order of Engineers, FEANI, and EUR‑ACE.
FCT NOVA maintains an exceptionally high employability rate, with approximately 98% of its graduates entering the workforce successfully.
